LEARN THE ART OF CALLIGRAPHY

THIS IS AN ON-LINE, VIRTUAL CLASS THAT WILL TAKE PLACE OVER ZOOM. YOU WILL BE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS AND A LINK TO JOIN ONCE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.

3 classes, 1.5 hours each

TUESDAYS, APRIL 6, 20 AND 27 (NO CLASS ON APRIL 13)

M. J. McFalls taught herself the art of Calligraphy in the early 1980’s. She will be using the same study book that she used to teach herself for this HAAA calligraphy class.

M. J. will teach the basics of italic calligraphy and is hoping to get into some practical uses of the art as well as some fancy uses.

Once the basics are developed and memorized, the students can expand to their own style and use it for the rest of their lives.

M. J. will be teaching the basics from The Hunt/Speedball Calligraphy Workbook...An Italic Notebook by Abraham Lincoln. I also highly suggest this notebook be purchased by the student. I have found them for sale on eBay and Amazon. (The book is currently out of publication) Used copies are fine as well and very reasonably priced.
