New Big Art Gallery Rotation

in Hershey Library’s Community Room

A new additional art gallery for HAAA art will open at the Hershey Library. We are looking for large original 2d art from HAAA members to display in the Hershey Library’s Community Room for 6 month rotations. Looking for Big Art! The minimum size accepted for the Community Room display is 18” x 24”, but even bigger is better, we wold prefer art sizes at 30’ x 36’ or larger.

Your art must be pre-registered & approved to exhibit prior to hang date

  • Looking for art that is 24” x 18” or larger, especially looking for several pieces that are 30” x 36” or larger

  • If more artists register for the limited rotation space available — the show chair will randomly pick artists.

  • Artists whose art is accepted should bring their art into the Library on Saturday, June 1, at 10:00AM to hang their art.

  • HAAA will provide exhibit tags

  • You are encouraged to continue to have these pieces for sale on your own social media, if sold we will ask you to provide a replacement painting.

  • All artwork is required to properly meet HAAA Show Guidelines, artists selling art need a valid PA sales tax license, and will remit 20% of any sales to the HAAA scholarship fund.

  • Recommend that you have a VENMO account – so public can purchase your art more easily.

Upon Registering you will receive an email and be requested to send a Jpeg photo and exact size dimensions of your art to the Show Chair, Stephanie Lewis.

  • Each HAAA member can exhibit 3 to 5 pieces of art and can have a short bio with their art.

  • MUST PRE-REGISTER TO EXHIBIT PRIOR TO HANG DATE

    • If more artists register for a certain time period – chair will randomly pick artists.

    • Artists drop off rheir art between 10:00 and 10:30 AM at the Gallery Hallway.

  • All artwork is required to properly meet HAAA Show Guidelines, artists selling art need a valid PA sales tax license, and will remit 20% of any sales to the HAAA scholarship fund at PO Box 654 Hershey PA 17033.

CALLING ALL HAAA ARTISTS: For The Love Of Art Show and Sale at the Hershey Gardens Conservatory will be on view in the beautiful education wing of the Butterfly House. The show takes place from Friday, Feb 14, through Sunday, Feb 16 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM each day. ALL ART MUST BE ORGINAL, NO PRINTS ACCEPTED.

All artwork must be dry, and ready to hang according to HAAA show guidelines. HAAA Art Tags will be provided. Both, hanging art and 3D art will be accepted. Exhibit space for 3D will be determined by the number of participants. 3D visual art must meet the guidelines for 3D art display. Information and Policy Guidelines can be found on the website.  Greeting cards are acceptable.

SETUP AND TEARDOWN INFO

Set Up, Thursday, February 13. - The set up will be scheduled in stages, (see below).

  • Volunteers set up of display racks and empty tables 12:00 - 2:00 PM

  • Artists submit 2D art, complete their sales tags and hang their art, 2:00 - 3:30 PM. (Volunteer crew will assist artists in displaying and hanging works, if needed.)

  • 3D Art set up on the table displays 3:30 - 4:30 PM*

    * For all 3D artist please include in your application if you require a full or half table

Tear Down, Sunday, February 16. - Be at Conservatory at 5:00 PM sharp for art pick up. No early pick ups unless worked out with Show Chair, prior to show closing.

2D Artists - Bring dry and properly wired art to the education wing of the conservatory between 2:00 - 3:30 PM on Thursday, Feb. 15 May submit up to but not limited to 5 pieces of work , depending on art size.

3D Artists - Bring your artwork to the lower level of the education wing of the conservatory between 3:30 and 4:30 PM on Feb. 15. Display tables will be ready for you to set up your own wares and complete the sales tags provided.

All Artists - Art must be properly labeled. Artists will be provided at the show with HAAA art sales tags. Have the following information ready to add to the sales tag: Title, Artist, Medium, Price, Tax, Final Cost (price + sales tax), Contact Information.

We need Set Up Volunteers, If you want to be part of the show set-up, please add a note to the bottom of the registration form or contact the Show Chair, Lee Sandel, ruedelee@gmail.com.

Show and Sale times at the Hershey Gardens are 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Additional information regarding exhibitors drive in directions, and logistics will be distributed to all participants prior to the event.

HAAA is required to have volunteers available for the entire show, as in the past, time slots will be assigned for show coverage. (Depending on the number of participants, time slots are usually 2 to 4 hours). Please indicate on your registration form, under the “Additional Message or Question” section, when you are best available to help. The show chair, Lee Sandel, will be in touch with you as we near the event.

Members will remit 20% of any sales that are made at their show to HAAA to benefit the HAAA scholarship fund.

with artitists, Refreshments:

To the public:

Holiday Art Display at Country Meadows is a Hershey Area Art Association (HAAA) membership art show.  We will have over 25 local artists exhibiting their paintings, photography, 3D art, jewelry, and many more items!

For HAAA members:

  • Chairs of Holiday Art Display at Country Meadows: Sue Myers suebirds@aol.com, Archana Sehgal archana@gmail.com – please contact them with any questions

  • All HAAA members in good standing are eligible to showcase, exhibit, and sell their fine and 3D art.

  • Each artist may submit up to 2 pieces of hanging original art (no prints or giclees).  Art needs to have been completed from 2020 to the present. Depending on the number of artists signed up, we may increase the number of items you can bring.   If your art is a large piece, please talk with the Show chair to determine if enough space is available.

  • We can accommodate 6 artists with 3D art to be displayed in a credenza, which will be unlocked during the open houses.

  • Country Meadows staff will not be collecting payment, but interested buyers can reach out directly to artists. Country Meadows will host 2 Open Houses, which artists are encouraged to attend: Saturday, November 9 and November 23, 1-3pm. We will need volunteers to help with cashier/checkout duties.

  • There will be 2 round tables available for card displays and additional small 3D items on the reception days, which can be brought at the start of the open houses and removed at the end.

  • Set-up is Saturday, November 2 at 10:30am. For those who work or have a time conflict to hang the art, please contact Sue Myers suebirds@aol.com or Archana Sehgal archana@gmail.com to make other arrangements.

  • Tear down is Saturday, November 30 at 10:30am.

The Event :  

UNDER THE COLORS, our Fall Members Art Show will be held at the Hershey Public Library on October 25 and 26th. We will have over 50 local artists exhibiting their paintings, photography, 3D art, jewelry, and many more items! We will be asking the public to vote for their favorite artist.  We are also doing a children’s art workshop on Sat. Oct 26 from 11 to noon – Please RSVP with the library to attend this workshop

  • All HAAA members in good standing are eligible to showcase, exhibit, and sell their fine and 3D art.

  • Each artist may submit up 4 pieces of hanging original art, (no prints or giclees). Depending on the number of artists signed up, we may increase the number of items you can bring. 

  • Art needs to have been completed from 2020 to the present.

  • If your art is a large piece, please talk with the Show chair to determine if enough space is available.

Two ways you can choose to exhibit your art up:

Short Term(Exhibit just the 2 days of show on the display racks)

Long Termin HAAA’s Hallway Gallery from 10/25/24 thru 12/14/24

Note: The Max of 4 hanging paintings/photographs can be split between the short and long-term, if desired. When registering for this show PLEASE NOTE in the bottom “Additional Message Box,” indentifying how many pieces of your art you want hung Short Term (Oct 25 & 26) and how many pieces to display for the entire Long Term, (Oct 25 thru Dec 14). THANK YOU

  • For 3D art, you may have 2.5 feet of table space available to exhibit your jewelry, woodwork, ceramics, sculptures, etc.  Art needs to have been completed from 2020 to the present.  We may need to adjust the space depending on the number of 3D artists exhibiting.  We can only exhibit 3D art on Oct 25 and 26.

  • A separate 3-sided display rack will be available for cards (Depending on the number of artists selling cards, we may need to limit space available/artist).

  • The public and HAAA members will be voting on their favorite artists – the top three artists getting the most votes will win a free 2025 HAAA membership.

  • Set-up is Oct 24 between 2 and 5 pm.  We will also ask several of the artists to help with the setting up of the display racks earlier at 1 pm. For those who work or have a time conflict to hang the art, please contact Mary Lott, HAAA.president@gmail.com to make other arrangements.

  • All exhibiting artists will be asked to work in two-to-three-hour shifts at the cashier/checkout table on Friday (10/25) and Saturday (10/26). We will need ~3-4 folks/shift to cover the cashier/checkout table, a greeter in HAAA’s Hallway Art Gallery, and around the Display racks within the library.

  • On Saturday October 26th, we ask all artists to help tear down the standing Two-day exhibit display racks at 4:30 pm sharp.

Both, hanging 2D art and 3D art will be accepted. HAAA Art Tags will be provided. Artists may bring up to 8, 2D pieces. OLD ANNVILLE DAY 2024

Old Annville Day (Outdoor Event)

As in previous years, West Main Street is closed for eight blocks to create the massive street fair of 150 vendors, a great variety of food, and three stages of music performances. Local residents enjoy visiting with their neighbors, previous residents who come back for the event and visitors from nearby communities. Vendors, including local retailers and restaurants will display a variety of products, food and drink for sale. Many local non-profits also have booths to share information about their work and to fundraise through selling food and drink. There will be a historic walking tours of Main Street, stopping by the many limestone and log structures constructed in Annville in the 1700’s and early 1800’s. This year’s free musical offerings will include eleven different acts representing a variety of musical styles at three different locations.

For HAAA Members:

Hershey Area Art Association (HAAA) members can showcase and sell their art. If you are interested in participating, please complete and submit the online event registration form on our website.   We are going to be under two tents – so plenty of room to show your art.  There will be a limit of artists that can show  (12) – so register early.

The Event:

HAAA is again partnering with the Hershey History Center for this annual event

As members of HAAA, you may participate in the following activities.

  • We will sponsor a member’s tent where you can hang and sell your art with other members. This tent is available for HAAA Members Only.

Requirements for participating are:

  • All HAAA members in good standing and upon submitting the below required application are eligible. Make sure your membership is current.

  • 20% commission payable to HAAA on any work sold.

  • Members may exhibit up to 3 original pieces.


  • All artwork must be properly wired for hanging.

  • 3D Art is welcomed. Please describe 3D items on the “Additional Message Section” of the registration form.  Space for 3D items is limited.

  • HAAA sales tags will be provided.

  • All exhibitors or designate will submit their art entries for set up to the HAAA sponsored tent between 6AM and 8:30 AM, and MUST be present to remove their art from the site by 4:00 PM, May 13, 2023

The Event :  

April Artistry: A Spring Showcase, our Spring Member's art show returns this year at the Hershey Public Library on April 12 and 13th, 2024.   This is an opportunity for all HAAA members to show up to 5 pieces of their fine art, jewelry, wood works, ceramics, sculptures, photography, and other 3D art.  All art needs to have been completed from 2020 to present.

 For HAAA Members:

All HAAA members in good standing eligible. To showcase, exhibit, and sell their art. There will also be tables for 3D art and the selling of greeting cards.

Two ways to exhibit:

  1. Long term (2 months, Apr 12 - Jun 10) : Bring hanging art only in on Thursday April 11, 2 to 3 PM. It will hang until Jun. 10th, (Monday).

  2. Short term (2 days of show, Apr 12-13): Bring in hanging and 3D art in on Thursday, April 11, 2 to 4:30 pm. All Short Term participants artists need to be present at Library to take down their art April 13TH, at 4:30 pm. Registration Deadline April 7th, 2024. on REGISTRATION FORM specify 2 DAY DISPLAY

General guidelines:

  • Each artist may submit up to 5 pieces of original art (no prints or giclee).  Art needs to have been completed from 2020 to the present. Depending on the number of artists signed up, we may increase the number of items you can bring.

  • All hanging artworks must be wired properly (check HAAA Show Guidelines on hersheyart.org under resources – art shows for specifics).

  • We will provide you with HAAA description tags to write the title of the art, medium, artist’s name, and cost of the art (price + tax = final price).

  • We will select several of the artists to help with the setting up of the display racks on the 11thof April.  When you arrive, you will be able to hand in your own art.

  • On the 13th, we ask all artists to help tear down the standing exhibit display racks at 4:30 pm. (The art in HAAA’s Gallery hallway (Long term) will remain there until Monday June 10th).  

  • All exhibiting artists will be asked to work in two-to-three-hour shifts at the cashier/checkout table on Friday (3/12) and Saturday (3/13). We will need ~3-4 folks/shift to cover the cashier/checkout table, a greeter in HAAA’s Hallway Art Gallery, and around the Display racks within the library.

  • Artists selling their art need to have a valid PA Sales Tax License.

  • Members will remit 20% of any sales that are made at their show to HAAA to benefit the HAAA scholarship fund.

  • HAAA and the Hershey Public Library are not responsible for any loss, stolen, or damage to any artwork.

  • HAAA requests the right to photograph work for press information or cataloging of the exhibit.

  • HAAA Members exhibiting will have read and agree to the Hershey Area Art Associations, “General Information and Policy Statement” found on the HAAA website: hersheyart.org

The event:  Backstage Cafe is a great venue for Hershey Art Association to showcase our artists’ works. Located within the Allen Theater, the Backstage cafe is a place where folks buy their snacks and drinks prior to seeing a movie but also the cafe has a great menu where folks can eat lunch or dinner.  For HAAA Members: For all HAAA artists members in good standing, if you are interested in participating, please complete and submit the event registration form on our website. (Click Event Registration button below). Please indicate the months you would like to show your art work.

• If a solo show, the individual artist may submit up to ~ 24 pieces of original art (hanging 3D artists are welcome but please talk with show chair 1st) and artwork does not need to be for sale.

• For the joint exhibits (2), each artist can submit 10-12 pieces of original work depending on size.

• All artwork must be wired for hanging and properly meet HAAA Show Guidelines.

• All exhibitors or designate must help to put up and tear down at the beginning and end of the month exhibit – will need to coordinate with previous month’s artist.

• All exhibitors will send a picture and biosketch to the show chair.

• Selling of any art will require purchaser contact the artist and transaction to be completed between the purchaser and the artists. (Backstage Cafe will not collect any monies for purchases).

CALLING ALL HAAA ARTISTS: For The Love Of Art Show and Sale at the Hershey Gardens Conservatory will be on view in the beautiful education wing of the Butterfly House. The show takes place from Friday, Feb 16, through Sunday, Feb 18 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM each day. Art must be original, no prints.

All artwork must be dry, and ready to hang according to HAAA show guidelines. HAAA Art Tags will be provided. Both, hanging art and 3D art will be accepted. Exhibit space for 3D will be determined by the number of participants. 3D visual art must meet the guidelines for 3D art display. Information and Policy Guidelines can be found on the website.  Greeting cards are acceptable.

2D Artists - Bring dry and properly wired art to the education wing of the conservatory between 2:00 - 3:30 PM on Thursday, Feb. 15 May submit up to but not limited to 5 pieces of work , depending on art size.

3D Artists - Bring your artwork to the lower level of the education wing of the conservatory between 3:30 and 4:30 PM on Feb. 15. Display tables will be ready for you to set up your own wares and complete the sales tags provided.

All Artists - Art must be properly labeled. Artists will be provided at the show with HAAA art sales tags. Have the following information ready to add to the sales tag: Title, Artist, Medium, Price, Tax, Final Cost (price + sales tax), Contact Information.

We need Set Up Volunteers, If you want to be part of the show set-up, please add a note to the bottom of the registration form or contact the Show Chair, Lee Sandel, ruedelee@gmail.com.

Show and Sale times at the Hershey Gardens are 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Additional information regarding exhibitors drive in directions, and logistics will be distributed to all participants prior to the event.

HAAA is required to have volunteers available for the entire show, as in the past, time slots will be assigned for show coverage. (Depending on the number of participants, time slots are usually 2 to 4 hours). Please indicate on your registration form, under the “Additional Message or Question” section, when you are best available to help. The Event :  

UNDER THE COLORS, our Fall Members Art Show returns this year post COVID at the Hershey Public Library on October 27 and 28th. This is an opportunity for all HAAA members to show 1 to 3 pieces of their fine art, jewelry, wood works, ceramics, sculptures, photography, and other 3D art. All art needs to have been completed from 2020 to present.

Vote Your Favorite, Enjoy Artist Reception The public and HAAA members can vote for his/her favorite painting or 3D art. The three top votes will receive a free 2024 HAAA membership. We will be having a reception for all artists to mingle with other HAAA artists and winner announcement on Saturday from 3 to 4:30 pm

CALLING ALL HAAA ARTISTS: Our Blooming Arts Show at the Hershey Gardens Conservatory will be on view in the beautiful education wing of the Butterfly House. The show takes place August 30, 31, and September 1, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Art must be original, no prints.

Both, hanging art and 3D art will be accepted. All art should be current, produced within the past 2 years, and are chosen at the discretion of the show chairs. All 2D artwork must be dry, properly wired and ready to hang according to HAAA show guidelines.  We ask that 2D art to be tagged on both front and back. Exhibit space for 3D will be determined by the number of participants. All 3D artists who require table space, please specify for 1/2 or full table size. 3D visual art must meet the guidelines for 3D art display. Information and Policy Guidelines can be found on the website.  Greeting cards are acceptable.

HAAA Art Sales Tags will be provided. The Art Sales Tags for front of 2D and 3D art must be completed by the artists and must include the sale price + tax = total cost.

HAAA is again partnering with the Hershey History Center for this annual event

As members of HAAA, you may participate in the following activities.

  • We will sponsor a member’s tent where you can hang and sell your art with other members. This tent is available for HAAA Members Only.

Requirements for participating are:

  • All HAAA members in good standing and upon submitting the below required application are eligible. Make sure your membership is current.

  • 20% commission payable to HAAA on any work sold.

  • Members may exhibit up to 3 original pieces.


  • All artwork must be properly wired for hanging.

  • 3D Art is welcomed. Please describe 3D items on the “Additional Message Section” of the registration form.  Space for 3D items is limited.

  • HAAA sales tags will be provided.

  • All exhibitors or designate will submit their art entries for set up to the HAAA sponsored tent between 6AM and 8:30 AM, and MUST be present to remove their art from the site by 4:00 PM, May 13, 2023

THIS EXHIBIT IS FULL - NO MORE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED

Hershey Area Art Association has been invited to display art in the lobby of the Hershey Theatre during a concert by the Hershey Orchestra on Friday, April 28. This is a unique opportunity to share our members’ artistic talents and to educate the community on the value of supporting the arts in the Hershey area.

The available space will limit the type of art to 2D hanging art and limit the number of participating artists. Announcement of this event will be included in the Hershey Orchestra and Hershey Theatre website and other promotional outlets.

Set up will take place on Thursday 4/27 at 7PM. Artists should bring art to the theatre. Event Coordinators will hang the art and attach labels with information provided by each artist - Artist name, title or work, medium, price plus tax, and contact information. Tear down is Saturday 4/29 at 11AM. Artists will pick up their work or make arrangements with the show coordinators.

No sales will be permitted during the concert. As we do for our rotating exhibits, a buyer will contact the artist for sales and payment arrangements. There is a 20% commission to HAAA on all sales.

Center Stage Arts in Health at the Hershey Medical Center

A Hershey Area Arts Association Community Activity!

We have been invited to participate in the Center Stage Art in Health program at the Hershey Medical Center. Our members’ art work will hang for about three months in the sensitive areas of the hospital to bring a soothing distraction to patients and family members in stressful situations.

The request is for original artwork that is pleasant and engaging and will bring calm, comfort or cheer to stressed folks in the hospital setting. Not accepted are any pieces that can be interpreted as disturbing, sexual, violent, or melancholic.

HAAA is asking for 2 to 4 submissions from each artist that wishes to be considered. Approximately 15 submissions will then be selected by the hospital to hang on display. You will be notified of the decision.

Steps for submission of artwork

  • Complete the registration form located at the link below.

  • Email a JPG file of completed, original artwork to the Center Stage Committee members, listed below.

  • Name each attachment as follows: name, title, medium, size, price, and framed dimensions (9” x 12” to 30” x 36”).

  • Artwork may be framed or unframed canvas with finished edges and ready to hang with wire, per HAAA hanging instructions.

  • If your artwork is accepted, it must be placed in resealable packaging that will remain at the Medical Center for repacking at the end of the exhibition. You will receive details about delivering your artwork from a HAAA Committee member.

  • Accepted artwork must be available for display during the entirety of the show dates

  • The Hershey Medical Center and Center Stage staff will:

    • Insure art pieces in the exhibition

    • Coordinate the sale of artwork with the artist

    • Retain a commission of 30%

    • HAAA will waive our usual 20% commission for this event

    • Provide prices of artwork upon request

Paint a Pumpkin - Hershey Garden's Pumpkin Palooza!

Once again Hershey Gardens has offered HAAA members the opportunity to paint pumpkins for this year’s Hershey Pumpkin Palooza, their annual garden display. Hershey Gardens will supply the pumpkins. Hershey has asked that we decorate along general Halloween themes, as well as decorations including the following; Sweets, (think donuts, Hershey candy), Insects , Spiders and Flowers.

Anyone interested in participating must register online by October 5th, to reserve a pumpkin.

Lee Sandel will be picking up the pumpkins and bring them to the patio at the Hershey History Center on October 6 at 11 a.m.  Participants may pick up their pumpkin on their own, anytime after 11:00AM. Individual artists will need to deliver their finished pumpkins to the barn at Hershey Gardens by Oct. 14. (The barn at Hershey Gardens is located at the first driveway off of Front street.)

Pumpkins will be on display in the Hershey Gardens October 22 - 30th.

This years Falling for Art Show and Sale at the Hershey Gardens Conservatory will be on view in the beautiful education wing of the Butterfly House. The show takes place from Sep 2 thru Sep 4, 9:00AM - 6:00PM.   All art is original, with over 20 Hershey Area Aritists participating.

All Partipating Artists: You will receive specific instructions for dropping off your art. Remember all artwork must be dry, and ready to hang according to HAAA show guidelines. HAAA Art Tags will be provided.. Contact the Show Chair, Lee Sandel, ruedelee@verizon if you have questions.

REGISTRATION TO SHOW IS CLOSED, the cut off date was Friday, August 19 , 2022. Due to the popularity of our Hershey Conservatory shows this deadline is firm.

Setup and Teardown Info for Particpating Artists

Set Up, Thursday, September 1. - The set up will be scheduled in stages, (see below).

  • 2D Art Drop off 1:30 - 2:00 PM

  • Volunteers set up of display racks and tables 2:00 PM

  • Volunteer crew hang 2D art, 2:00 - 3:00PM

  • 3D Art Drop off, and Table display setup 4:00PM .

Tear Down, Sunday, September 4. - Be at Conservatory at 5:00PM sharp for art pick up. No early pick ups unless worked out with Show Chair, Lee Sandel, prior to show closing.

2D Artists - Bring dry and properly wired art to the lower level of the education wing of the conservatory between 2:30 and 3:00PM on Sep 1. Have the following information ready to add to the sales tag: Title, Artist, Medium, Price, Tax, Total, Contact Information. A volunteer will take your art and the information for the art tags to the display area. Tags will be completed by show volunteers.

3D Artists - Bring your artwork to the lower level of the education wing of the conservatory between 4:00 and 4:30PM on Sep 1. Display tables will be ready for you to set up your own wares and complete the sales tags provided.

If you want be part of the show volunteer group, please add a note to the bottom of the registration form.

Show and Sale times at the Hershey Gardens, Fri.-Sun. (9:00am to 6:00pm), Sun. (9:00am to 5:00pm)

Additional information regarding exhibitors drive in directions, and logistics will be distributed to all participants prior to the event.

HAAA is required to have volunteers available for the entire show, as in the past, time slots will be assigned for show coverage. (Depending on the number of participants, time slots are usually 2 to 4 hours). Please indicate on your registration form, under the “Additional Message or Question” section, when you are available to help. The show chair, Lee Sandel, will be in touch with you as we near the event.

Members will remit 20% of any sales that are made at their show to HAAA to benefit the HAAA scholarship fund. 

HAAA and the Hershey Gardens are not responsible for any loss or damage to any artwork.

HAAA requests the right to photograph work for press information or cataloging of the exhibit.

HAAA Members exhibiting are to read and agree to the Hershey Area Art Associations, “General Information and Policy Statement”

The Hershey Area Art Association is partnering again with Hershey History Center for the Annual Hershey ArtFest held on the grounds of the Cocoa Beanery and Englewood Restaurant on Saturday May 13, 2023. This is a one day, annual event.

Requirements for participation:

1 - You must be a current HAAA member, and have a PA sales tax license.

2 - 2D artists may display 2-3 pieces in the HAAA tent

3- There is limited space for 3D pieces, please indicate on the registration form an approximate amount of space needed for your work.

4- Set up is Saturday 5/13 starting at 6AM, tear down is 4PM.

5- Complete the registration form, button below.

Show your art at the PA Dance Sport Ballroom in Hummelstown! This event is being rescheduled from 2020. The beautiful dance studio welcomes a limited number of artists to exhibit during their weekend event - Spring Fling Dance.

The event will begin with an artist reception on Friday, March 25 at 8PM, and continue during the Saturday, March 26 dance event.

Exhibit schedule:

Display racks set up on Friday 3/25 at 3PM.

Artists will deliver their art between 4 and 4:30 PM and are invited to return for the reception at 8PM. The art will be hung and tagged by the event volunteers.

Tear down will take place on Sunday, March 27 at 1PM.

Exhibit Details:

Original art only, except for note cards.

All participants are expected to assist with sales during the studio hours.

This is a limited space venue, so please register no more than 3 small to medium pieces, and 2 larger pieces.

There will be space for 3D artists. Please limit your display to approximately 2 ft. in width.

SIP AND PAINT social event.

Please join us for an afternoon of creativity, fun and laughter. MJ McFalls, an artist with the Hershey Area Art Association, will lead us in painting a wonderful summer beach scene while we munch on snacks and sip on whatever beverage you bring. After enjoying the experience, you will depart with your very own memorable masterpiece.

*All supplies are provided. No skill required. Just bring your drink of choice*

Carefully read the following instructions.

Rules of Entry:

  1. All current HAAA members are invited to submit photos.

  2. Completion of an online gallery registration form, (See Online Registration Button Below).

  3. Photos of fine art and virtual 3D art are welcome

  4. Artists must allow their work to remain posted for the duration of the exhibit, even if sold

  5. Artists are responsible for submitting a JPEG photo that meets our photography guidelines

  6. Artists agree to remit 20% commission on sales

Submission Requirements:

  1. Members may submit two - three photos, art may be any style or medium

  2. Art must be original, no reproductions; art should be new pieces dating from 2019 to present

  3. Submit a completed registration form by FEBRUARY 12, 2021 for our next MEMBER GALLERY II

  4. Upon receipt of your registration form, you will receive an acknowledgement with instructions for submitting a JPEG file of your art by FEBRUARY 12, 2021

  5. Submitted JPEG file should be labeled in this format, ArtistName_ArtTitle.JPEG

  6. Guidelines to photograph your art are specified in the Photography Guidelines link button below.

Sales Procedures:

  1. Each image in the Virtual Gallery will include the artist’s name, art description, email and/or artist’s website, from which potential purchasers may contact the artist directly.

  2. The artists is responsible to follow up with their potential buyers.

  3. The artist is responsible for working out delivery or shipping of purchased art and any required sales tax fees.

  4. Remittance of the 20% sales commission on any art sold on the HAAA Virtual Art Gallery is the responsibility of the artist. Send remittance payable to Hershey Area Art Association, (HAAA) at PO Box 654, Hershey PA 17033. Thank you for supporting the HAAA annual scholarship fund and our other important community activities.

Member Contract:

By submitting images to the gallery email with the proper information, the submitting artists agree to the following:

  1. The Hershey Area Art Association, its directors, officers, and volunteers shall not be responsible for the quality of the image submitted. We reserve the right to slightly correct the images and the artists information, only if necessary, to bring it to the optimal technical standard and best representation in the gallery. The Gallery Committee may decline a submission if the image is incorrect and can not be corrected.

  2. Completion of the registration form gives HAAA permission to use images of submitted work for publicity purposes.

  3. Artists with their own website are encouraged to include a link to hersheyart.org to view the HAAA virtual member gallery.

Country Meadows has invited Hershey Area Art Association to return this May to showcase our artists’ works in their beautiful first floor reception area with their residents and visitors.  The exhibit will be held from May 7 through May 28, 2020.

 For HAAA Members:

All HAAA members in good standing and submitting the below required application are eligible.

Registration Deadline MAY 1, 2020 

Requirements for participating are:

• Must be current Member of Hershey Area Art Association.

• 20% commission payable to HAAA on any work sold.

• Members may exhibit up to 3 original pieces.

• 3D Art, Country Meadows has a case available for small 3D pieces.

This Year’s Theme

The event:

With the Hershey Library in “Remodeling Mode” this year’s Annual Member Show is something NEW! Our 2020 Member Show is at the beautiful PA DanceSport Ballroom in Hummlestown. 585 East Main Street, located behind the Gold’s Gym. Art will be on display during the hours the studio is open; 10AM to 9PM. Ballroom staff will collect money for any art sales.

As always the show will provide an opportunity for HAAA members to exhibit and/or sell original, never been shown before, artwork. In honor to this years theme, “Shall We Dance!” artists are encouraged to bring a visual representation of Music or Dance. The best representation will receive a special award. So put on your dancing shoes and paint up a masterpiece. This is one of our most attended and well received shows of the year.

Join us for the Artist Reception, Friday April 3, 5 - 9 PM. The reception provides opportunity to interact with fellow artists AND this year to step out on the dance floor if you wish and show off your salsa. There will be food and refreshments. Bring your happy feet!

Please indicate in the Additional Message Section of the registration form if you are willing to donate a food item for the artists reception on April 3rd.

The Hershey Women’s Club and The Hershey Area Art Association will co-host The Hershey Partnership’s April Breakfast Meeting on Thursday April 2 at 7:30AM at the First Methodist Church 64 W. Chocolate Ave.  

Any interested HAAA members are invited to attend, display some art and enjoy breakfast and social time with representatives from many local businesses, non-profits and community organizations.
