Paint like you never painted before! How? By painting like the masters! We will take a look at artists like Matisse, Leger, O’Keefe, or perhaps Cezanne, Klimt or El Greco. We will then create a painting that emulates that artist. There is a lot to be learned by painting a mile in their brushstrokes! With each new artist, Marie will speak about their lives and their art. (Did we say she loves art history?)
It would be helpful to have a tablet, smart phone or laptop for class. However if you don’t have the technology, Marie will have plenty of books or prints available. There will be 8 classes and we will try to spend 2 weeks on each artist which are yet to be determined.
This class will meet every Thursday for 8 weeks.
