Next GENERAL MEETING
TUESDAY, november 12, 2024 at 7:00 PM
Our HAAA November General Meeting will feature a special guest speaker, Jonathan Frazier. Jonathan is an artist who has made his livelihood in the greater Hershey / Harrisburg / Gettysburg area as an artist and a performing musician. He is a member of the Seven Lively Artists, is a prolific artist specializing in plein air. Jonathan welcomes all to visit the Smith Gallery in New Cumberland that includes 16 of Jonathan's oil paintings and that of Art Association of Harrisburg director Carrie Wissler-Thomas. For his presentation, Jonathan will bring his painting kit and talk about strategies for painting outdoors. He will share some of his work, and do a live color mixing demonstration. Jonathan has taught several years, and is comfortable taking your questions about materials, technique, inspiration, or even the administrative side of being a "self employed" artist."

HAAA Now has two Rotation Galleries
at the Hershey Library
Besides our standard long running Hershey Library Gallery Room rotation, a new 6 month rotation has opened in the Hershey Library’s Community Room, this space is reserved for Big Art. The room is set up to display larger art sizes of 30’ x 36’ or larger. Our current initial rotation is now on display until Nov 30th. Be sure to check it out next time your at the library. Next rotation for Big Art is scheduled for Nov 30th. Go to Current Events to register.
Next Library Rotations
The next Gallery Room Rotation will also be part of our annual Under the Colors Art Show, set up will be Oct. 24 and the Gallery Room rotation will display from Oct. 25 thru Dec. 14. for the Under the Colors Art Show, members will be able register for both the Short Two Day display (Oct 25 & Oct 26), and the Long Term Rotation display (Oct. 25 - Dec. 14.) .
