PAINTING ACRYLICS WITH MARIE GAMON

Have you ever wanted to paint with Acrylics but didn't know how to start?  Or are you an experienced painter who wants to improve your skills?  This class is for you!  I will listen to what each student would like to learns and coach you on your own journey with Acrylics!!  Whether it is painting in a realistic manner or flying wildly out of the box into the Abstract!  You will be introduced to a variety of mediums,  we will talk and practice color theory, and try out the many types of brushes.  The student will work from photos of their choosing so that at the end of class you will have paintings that are uniquely yours!

Marie has had 25+ years of teaching experience in acrylic, oil, drawing, and mixed media.  Marie has an art education degree from Penn State.  She has designed and taught art curriculum for elementary and high school student.  She has taught classes and individual instruction in central PA.  She has exhibited through the Hershey and Harrisburg Art Associations.

SUPPLY LIST :

Paints - Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Burnt Umber, Naples Yellow, White   Any other colors that you have on hand.

Brushes - Flats and Rounds, Bristle and Taklon.  A variety of sizes

Stretched Canvas or Canvas Board, size is your choice.  For beginners, 11 x 14 or 12 x 16

Paper towels, water container, pencils, kneadable eraser.  This is basic art, expect to buy more as you try things in class.  Bring whatever supplies you like to work with.

Eight weeks of classes starting on Thursday March 28 continuing to Thursday May 16, 2019. Classes start at 12:30PM and end at 3:30PM.  Classes are held in the Community Room of the Hershey Derry Township Historical Society Lower Level. 40 Northeast Dr. Hershey, PA. 17033
