I love September and the return of our monthly meetings!! We are kicking off this series with "Hurrah for HAAA." How well do you know your Association?

We will have:

A brief review of our beginnings. 

Kathleen Grim share how Norman Rockwell's art was instrumental in inspiring the nation.

An opportunity to  become familiar with the individuals who work behind the scenes to facilitate HAAA's outreach.

Some fun with your knowledge of HAAA.

Celebratory refreshments, and chance to receive one of six gift cards.     

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 11th at 7:00 at the Historical Society, 40 Northeast Drive, Hershey.

While doing research for our September meeting, I went down a little rabbit trail of statistics.

We presently have 138 members. Fifteen of our present members joined the Association within its first 5 years;  12 current members joined between 2000-2010; the rest (111) of our members have joined within the last 8 years.   

Fall also brings the return of our art classes. Check the website (Hersheyart.org) for information on classes in oil and acrylic, as well as a workshop in watercolor. As always every medium is welcome at our paint together sessions. At paint togethers there is no formal instructor, but we all share encouragement.

This month we will participate in a new show venue: Hershey Story Museum, downtown Hershey.

The exhibit will be a four day show in their lobby during business hours starting September 6th.
