**COCOA BEANERY Call for artists!! New member art is needed for the next rotation. Member art will be on display from April 8 to May 6. If you want to participate in the April rotation, please register at hersheyart.org
**SOUP COMPETITION Calling all Artful Cooks for the May 14th meeting! Bring your best soup!
We will have a soup tasing competition to determine which soup will represent HAAA at the annual Hershey Partnership Soup Cook-off in October. The winner’s recipe will be duplicated by several cooking teams and HAAA will reimburse all ingredients necessary. This is a well attended annual Fall community event sponsored by the Hershey Partnership in support of the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company. Contact Suze Moll at cre88tive@gmail.com for details.
**HERSHEY ARTFEST We have four tents to display member art and hold a children’s art activity on Saturday, May 11,2019 on the grounds of the Cocoa Beanery. We need artists to display work, both 2D and 3D, and volunteers to run the children’s art tent. Details and registration at hersheyart.org
**COUNTRY MEADOWS HAAA members are needed to exhibit their work in the lobby of Country Meadows. This show is for both 2D and 3D artists. The exhibit runs from May 2 to May 23, 2019. This is a great venue with plenty of foot traffic. Details and registration at hersheyart.org
**2020 HAAA ANNIVERSARY Planning has started for special activities and events to mark the 25th Anniversary of our Association! While the ideas are great, they can’t be carried out without member help. The plans include the development of a HAAA Member Calendar, purchase of an Anniversary banner that can be used at all events in 2020 and beyond, new brochures and post cards that outline shows and exhibits during 2020.

**ANNUAL SPRING SHOW Visit the Hershey Public Library to see the beautiful art that our members created for “Sunday, Sun Day, Sundae”. There were approximately 100 people at the artist reception! Congrats to Diane Hoffer; her creative glass sundae was the People’s Choice!
**ALLEN THEATRE BACKSTAGE CAFE Member John Roach is showing his wonderful wood designs during April. Stop in and consider signing up for the next art rotation.
**SHOW AND EXHIBIT OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS The Downtown Hershey Association is sponsoring the Art Show and Culturefest on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10AM to 5PM in Chocolate Town Square Park. ** SUPPORT OUR MEMBERS: For those interested in clay art, check out the Perry County Council of the Arts pottery show running from April 5 to June 1 at their gallery, located at One S. Second St. in Newport. Darlene Ferrier, a HAAA member is participating in the show. **NEW BYLAWS!! New HAAA bylaws were approved by our membership at the March 12th meeting. If you’re interested in reading the new version, it can be found at hersheyart.org under the NEWS menu. Another important document, approved by the Board of Directors is the new Policies and Guidelines, also on the website.
**CLASSES This month: Marie Gamon’s Pastel Workshop on April 23, 2019; the next session of Paulette Flemmens Oil Painting Class starts April 3; Suze Moll has a Fairy House workshop on May 1
